Just A Small Town Girl…

smalltowngirlMy heart is so full!!! There are many movies and quotes about small town girls wanting to leave and go to the city. Dreaming of a life beyond.

You know what? I used to be one of those girls. All I ever wanted to do was leave my hometown and never go back. Live a more ‘exciting’ life.

But you know what I’ve found? I’ve found that in small towns, roots run deep! People pitch in to help when you need it!

You go to the grocery store and see friends. You get to know Doris at the check out counter or Teresa at the post office.

I am so lucky and blessed to be in a town like Front Royal, where Craig Laird, owner of The Tea Room on Main Street, will host a special night where I can invite my town movers and shakers over to see how we can help one another on this road to Mrs. Virginia.

Where my beautiful and very good friend and mentor, Jean, over at Jean’s Jewelers has offered to sponsor my Mrs. Virginia Pageant jewelry!

I’m seriously so honored to live here! This place has truly become HOME to me, and my heart is forever grateful.
