Have you ever seen Miss Congeniality? You know, the story about the rough and ready cop, who participates in a beauty pageant?
Yeah! Her.
This whole pageant experience has been so amazing. People coming from across the country, and out of the woodwork to help me. I’ve never felt so taken care of. One of my best friends, Kerri Blair at Kerri’s Avenue Salon, is flying in to take care of my hair, extensions and help me go shopping and keeping me on task! She even reconnected me with this amazing lady, Kathy Friend, at Kathy Friend Image Consultant & Stylist.
Kathy is a personal stylist who knows everything about color and style and stuff I really don’t ‘get’ with fashion. This lady took time out of her busy schedule to help get me started with learning how to dress fashionably and what colors suit me and such!
The BEST part is that Kathy is going to teach me how to purchase clothing with intention instead of always hitting up the clearance racks and always struggling with not knowing what goes together and what to wear.
I’ve honestly always struggled with not knowing what to wear and how to shop… just kind of tried to figure it all out, then ended up buying things I didn’t even really like. So I’m really excited about this, because I want to feel confident in what I’m wearing. That doesn’t mean to spend a ton of money, it means to know what I’m looking for and be intentional with HOW I spend my money 🙂
It’s all just a fun growing experience and I’m super grateful!
